Another Incredible Week!

Week 3 has proven to be just as exciting as the first 2 weeks of school! After learning all about cows last week, we needed to start learning about the community helpers around us.  Learning about Farmers seemed appropriate for our first helper.  We continued to learn about what farmers do and what kinds of things they provide for us like milk, vegetables, fruit, meat, ect…  We sang, danced, and played with farm animals!

On Tuesday, we went to Little Cataraqui Creek for our first Outdoor Education visit! It was so much fun!  We played a tail chase game, got to hold a snake skin, muskrat fur, and a hardened fungus from a tree! We also played a game of camouflage and went on big hike! What a great afternoon!

The next day we learned about Park Rangers, that their job was to help us, and how we can help them protect the parks we visit.  We then became Junior Rangers equipped with badges and ready to explore the park.

Lastly, we learned about Paramedics!  The students got to take turns being the patient and the Paramedic!

Next week we will learn about more helpers in our community and have another visit to Little Cataraqui Creek!

  1. Ms Trish, I absolutely love these blogs. Tyler talks about his days at school but leaves a lot of gaps for me to decode. Your blog just made everything so clear.
